Doreen K. Brown of West Paris is an enthusiastic turkey hunter. On opening day of the 2024 spring season, hunting in her hometown, she used her new Remington 870 to drop this 21-lb. 10-oz. tom turkey. The big bird, which featured 1-inch spurs and a 10-inch beard, earned Doreen entry into the Maine Turkey Hunters Patch Club. The turkey was registered at DOE’s Inc., 183 Park Street in South Paris.
