James Haynes of Phillips joined the Maine Sportsman’s Turkey Hunters Patch Club with this massive 27-lb., 6 oz. tome turkey. James was hunting in Strong on May 4, 2024. The big bird had 1-1/4-inch spurs, and an 8-1/2 inch beard. The trophy was registered at The Local Bull, a tagging station on Main Street in Phillips that also provides great pizzas and sandwiches.
